Henry Ford Health System, Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University are offering their employees incentives of up to $25,000 to live in the Midtown area of Detroit in a program funded by the University Cultural Center Association, according to a Detroit News report.
The $1.2 million program targets employees of these institutions specifically and provides up to $25,000 over five years to individuals who buy a home in the area or $2,500 to new renters for their first year. New renters will receives an additional $1,000 for the second year, and existing renters who renew leases will also receive $1,000.
