Stanford (Calif.) Hospital and Clinics and Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health are each ready to move forward on its respective construction plans, according to a Sacramento Business Journal report.
Sutter Health and its affiliate Palo Alto (Calif.) Medication Foundation is finishing up prep work for a $210 million outpatient clinic and parking structure that is being built for 120 physicians. The clinic, which is projected to be completed in 2013, is the first phase of a proposed $550 million medical complex.
Stanford Hospital, for its part, recently obtained city approval to pursue its $3.5 billion expansion and modernization plan. Pending final approval, Stanford plans to expand two of its hospitals — Stanford Hospital and Lucile Packard Hospital — by 144 bed and 104 beds, respectively, according to the report.
