Cleveland-based University Hospitals has opened 144-bed UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio, the first new stand-alone hospital in Cuyahoga County (Ohio) in 30 years, according to a UH news release.
The campus includes an inpatient facility as well as a 60,000-square-foot outpatient medical building.
The new hospital boasts private patient rooms with flat screen TVs and wireless technology and "park-like settings," according to the report.
UH Ahuja Medical Center is named in honor of UH Board Chairman, Monte Ahuja, an his family, who donated $30 million to UH in 2006.
