Grady Memorial Hospital, a 953-bed facility in Atlanta, plans to cut approximately 120 jobs to save an estimated $7 million annually, according to an Atlanta Business Chronicle report.
Grady had a $20 million cut in indigent care funding this year. At the same time, the hospital had increased emergency room volumes, a high-cost area, and decreased high margin outpatient volumes.
To date, Grady, which employs approximately 5,000 people, has cut about 200 jobs this year.
