Danbury (Conn.) Hospital has opened a $150 million addition called the Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Pavilion, according to a NewsTimes report.
The 11-story structure adds 316,000 square feet of space to the hospital. It will include the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Emergency Department, a 30-bed critical care unit as well as a 35-bed medical/surgical patient-care floor.
The addition has been named after city resident Peter Buck and his late wife, who donated $30 million.
While the new building is officially open, it will not open to patients until August, according to the report.
