Wyoming Medical Center in Casper announced President and CEO Vickie Diamond plans to retire, ending her eight-year tenure as the medical center's leader. She plans to leave her post on July 1, 2017, but will stay on until the center selects her replacement.
Ms. Diamond joined the medical center in 2004 as CNO, and became COO in 2005. She has served as Wyoming Hospital Association's board president and chairwoman of the American Hospital Association's Region 8 Policy Board. The medical center's board of directors will begin a nationwide search to hire a new CEO.
"Vickie has been a strong and compassionate leader at our community hospital for more than eight years. Under her watch, Wyoming Medical Center has built nationally recognized heart and stroke programs that have saved countless lives, including those of our family, friends and neighbors. Our hospital has grown to include state-of-the-art facilities and services, and has attracted a wide network of medical specialists to ensure we don't need to travel far from home to get excellent and compassionate health care," said John Masterson, the hospital's board chairman.
