Bobby Arnold, CEO of Jackson-based West Tennessee Healthcare, has resigned, according to a Jackson Sun report.

1. Mr. Arnold's resignation takes effect immediately.
2. West Tennessee Healthcare, which includes four hospitals and two medical centers, did not provide a reason for Mr. Arnold's resignation.
3. In light of Mr. Arnold's resignation, West Tennessee Healthcare has named James Ross acting CEO.
