West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, an affiliate of Tallahassee-based Hospital Corporation of America North Florida, named Carlton Ulmer president and CEO, according to a Pensacola News Journal report. He will assume his new role on Jan. 1, 2017.
Mr. Ulmer currently serves as CEO of Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. He has also previously served as COO of Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Ga., and COO of Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. He is equipped with more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.
Mr. Ulmer replaces Brian Baumgardner, who is leaving to serve as CEO of LewisGale Regional Health System in Salem, Va., a Richmond-based HCA Virginia facility.
