Monty E. Knittel, president and CEO of Walla Walla (Wash.) General Hospital, is leaving his post for a new job, according to a Union-Bulletin report.
Here are three things to know about Mr. Knittel.
1. Mr. Knittel has led the Walla Walla facility, part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, for nine years. He has now been named president and CEO of Feather River Hospital in Paradise, Calif., also part of Adventist.
2. During his tenure at Walla Walla General, he was responsible for numerous changes, such as construction of a $16 million, 18,000 square-foot remodel of the hospital that included a new emergency department, centralized patient admitting and front entrance, according to the report.
3. Bob Beehler will take over for Mr. Knittel as interim president and CEO of Walla Walla General, effective June 6.
