Michael P. Browning has been named CFO of Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed Health and Hospitals, according to a Triangle Business Journal report.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Browning.
1. Mr. Browning will replace Mike DeVaughn, who is retiring.
2. As CFO, Mr. Browning will not only lead WakeMed's overall financial operations, but also be responsible for financial planning, strategic sourcing and all accounting functions including accounts payable and payroll, according to the report.
3. Mr. Browning comes to WakeMed from Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he has served as senior vice president and CFO since 2010.
4. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare strategy, operations, finance, revenue cycle and auditing.
