Waukegan, Ill.-based Vista Health System appointed Norman F. Stephens interim CEO, following Barbara Martin's abrupt departure from the role last week, according to a Chicago Daily Herald report.
Here are four things to know:
1. Most recently, Mr. Stephens was president and CEO of CHI St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital in Houston.
2. He was previously president and CEO of Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
3. He holds a master of public administration degree from Long Beach-based California State University.
4. Mr. Stephens takes over after Ms. Martin ended her 14-year tenure as CEO. Hospital officials have not given a reason for Ms. Martin's departure.
