Virginia L. Golden to lead 2 NY hospitals: 3 things to know

Virginia L. Golden has been named CEO of St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital, both in Albany, N.Y., according to a Times Union report.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Golden.

1. She currently serves as chief integration officer for St. Peter's Health Partners, the parent organization of St. Peter's and Albany Memorial. They system also includes Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital, both in Troy, N.Y., Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y., The Eddy system of continuing care, The Community Hospice, as well as St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates.

2. Ms. Golden was slated to serve as interim CEO following the departure of Ann Errichetti, MD, who is leaving April 15 to become chief operations and academic officer at Chicago-based Presence Health. Instead, she has been named the permanent replacement, effective April 16, according to the report.

3. Ms. Golden's career at St. Peter's extends over 46 years.
