St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Calif., a part of Redwood City, Calif.-based Verity Health System, appointed Jeffrey Stout as vice president of patient care services/COO and Rahul Dhawan, DO, as CMO.
Mr. Stout most recently served as interim CEO of Renown South Meadows Medical Center in Reno, Nev. He has also served as CNO of Renown Regional Medical Center and Renown Children's Hospital, both in Reno. He has also held senior management positions at Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, N.C. He assumed his new role at St. Francis on Sept. 6.
Prior to beginning his new position as CMO of St. Francis, Dr. Dhawan was the utilization review medical director at MedPOINT Management in Woodland Hills, Calif. MedPOINT Management offers management services to independent practice associations and healthcare networks. Dr. Dhawan additionally served as an assistant professor of medicine at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. He is a trained hospitalist and earned his osteopathic medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif.
