Venice (Fla.) Regional Bayfront Health has recruited two seasoned hospital executives to provide interim administrative leadership following the resignation of CEO Peter Wozniak in July.
Here are six things to know about the two leaders.
Jeff Reece joins the hospital as interim CEO.
1. Mr. Reece most recently served as interim CEO at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla.
2. Over the past decade, he served in CEO, CNO and chief quality officer roles at hospitals in South Carolina, after beginning his career as a paramedic and registered nurse.
3. Mr. Reece earned a bachelor's degree in emergency medical care from Cullowhee, N.C.-based Western Carolina University, an associate degree in nursing from Carolinas College of Health Science in Charlotte, N.C., and a master's degree in nursing and business administration from University of Phoenix.
Peggy Greene is returning as interim CNO.
4. Ms. Greene is a 30-year clinical administration veteran who served Venice Regional as interim CNO in fall 2014.
5. She has served as CNO of hospitals and hospice facilities in Florida and Maryland in addition to teaching nursing at Baltimore-based College of Notre Dame of Maryland, now Notre Dame of Maryland University, and Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers.
6. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and master's degree in adult and continuing education from Baltimore-based John Hopkins University. She also has a master's in nursing with a minor in management from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
