VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Va., named Tom Guirkin, MD, vice president of medical affairs, according to the Kenbridge Victoria Dispatch.
Three points:
1. Dr. Guirkin previously worked at St. Francis Health System in Tulsa, Okla., and St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Va.
2. He practices hospital medicine.
3. Dr. Guirkin will see patients on a limited basis at Community Memorial Hospital while serving in his leadership role.
