Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, Ala., has named David McCormack CEO, effective April 4, according to a news release.
Here are four things to know about Mr. McCormack.
1. He has more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience.
2. Most recently, he was interim CEO of Pioneer Community Hospital of Stokes in Danbury, N.C.
3. Mr. McCormack also previously was president and CEO of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, and has held numerous CEO positions at hospitals throughout Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Oklahoma. He also served as COO and CFO of Highland Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla.
4. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Auburn (Ala.) University, and a master's degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
