Jim Hayman will retire as executive vice president of shared clinical services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Dec. 31.
Mr. Hayman joined Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt as chief pharmacy officer in 2008 and established and led the health system's shared clinical services division in November 2022.
The division supports various Vanderbilt entities such as Vanderbilt University Hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, and Vanderbilt Health Services along with the system's community hospitals and ambulatory clinics.
As chief pharmacy officer, he shaped the shared services model and aligned administrative and organizational aspects of Vanderbilt's pharmacy, laboratory and sterile processing services, the system said in an Oct. 25 news release. His leadership fostered greater alignment, standardization and efficiencies within these services.
Vanderbilt is seeking a new leader for its shared clinical services division.
