Jill Owens, MD, was appointed CMO and vice president of quality at Upper Allegheny Health System's Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center and Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital.
She had served as interim CMO since June, a news release said.
"[Dr. Owens'] tireless work during the pandemic has been extraordinary," Mary LaRowe, the health system's CEO, stated. "Her expertise and leadership will be invaluable to our health system now and well into the future."
Dr. Owens previously served as vice president of clinical operations and physician relations and interim executive director for UAHS' physician network.
In addition to being a practicing physician, she currently serves as the medical director of Foothills Medical Group as well as the associate medical director for Bradford Regional, according to the news release.
