Robert Williams, president and senior executive at UPMC Susquehanna Sunbury (Pa.), will retire April 1.
Five things to know:
1. Mr. Williams assumed his current role in 2015.
2. He was previously assistant CEO of Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) General Hospital.
3. He was also CEO of Mercy Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke, Pa., and Scranton, Pa.
4. During his tenure, the hospital underwent an IT systems upgrade, renovations, the implementation of telestroke services and the expansion of several service lines.
5. Robert Kane, current president of UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center-Divine Providence Campus in Williamsport, Pa., and system vice president of operations, will succeed Mr. Williams. Mr. Kane will serve as president of both hospitals.
