Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico Hospital named Kathleen Becker CEO, effective July 15.
Here are five things to know:
1. Ms. Becker is currently president of SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
2. She previously worked as interim president of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis and as president of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Mo.
3. She is the 2018 chair of the Metropolitan Hospital Governing Council of the American Hospital Association.
4. Ms. Becker holds a master's degree in public health from Saint Louis University as well as a JD degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
5. She is the permanent successor to Steve McKernan, who retired in October 2017. Michael Chicarelli, DNP, RN, was appointed to serve as interim CEO.
