Several leadership changes have been made at University of Mississippi Medical Center, as a result of a pending affiliation between the university and Health Management Associates, according to a Clarion Ledger report.
David Putt, who has served as president and CEO of UMMC since February, will be transitioned into a liaison role between the university and HMA. Janet Harris, chief nursing executive officer, will succeed Mr. Putt as head of UMMC.
In addition, Dana Habers, interim CEO of University Physicians, has left her post to serve in a similar role at University of Southern California. Marc Mitchell, president of University Physicians, will serve as interim CEO until Ms. Habers' successor is found.
