Rick Seidler, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health-Trinity, is retiring May 1.
UnityPoint Health-Trinity operates four hospitals in Rock Island, Ill., Moline, Ill., Bettendorf, Iowa, and Muscatine, Iowa.
Mr. Seidler assumed his current role in 2010, prior to which he worked with West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health's Waterloo (Iowa) affiliate. He has worked at UnityPoint Health for 21 years.
During his tenure as leader of UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Mr. Seidler oversaw several population health efforts as well as the opening of a heart center and emergency department/trauma center. He also spearheaded the development of an ownership joint venture with Mississippi Valley Surgery Center in Davenport, Iowa.
Mr. Seidler is equipped with 40 years of healthcare administration experience, and he is a past board chair of the Iowa Hospital Association. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Administrators, he received the association's Distinguished Service Award in 2011. He earned his MBA at the University of Miami.
