Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health has selected Scott Kizer to serve as senior vice president and chief legal officer, effective Sept. 27.
Mr. Kizer most recently served as chief legal officer for BayCare Health System in Clearwater, Fla., since 2011. As an attorney, he has practiced healthcare, technology and transactional law for a variety of national and international clients, according to an Aug. 16 news release.
"Scott brings a wealth of experience to our organization due to his 25 years of experience as a health care and transactional attorney specializing in corporate strategy, governance, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions," Clay Holderman, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health, said. "We look forward to his contributions and leadership, as we continue to focus on how we deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve."
