United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minn., has hired Richard Ash as CEO, according to the Faribault County Register.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Ash.
1. Mr. Ash is expected to start work as soon at July 13.
2. Mr. Ash succeeds Jeff Lang, who submitted his resignation to the hospital board in January. In March, Mr. Lang began his tenure as CEO of Hancock, Mich.-based Upper Peninsula Health System-Portage.
3. Mr. Ash most recently served as CEO of Ortonville (Minn.) Area Health Services where his duties included leadership of their critical access hospital, nursing home facility, clinics, home health and senior housing, according to the report.
4. "The United Hospital District presents an opportunity to use my skills and experience to continue the successful delivery of healthcare services," Mr. Ash said in the report. "I am excited to be a part of a growing, progressive community of care. I am also excited to focus my leadership on growing the full continuum of primary and specialty care delivery for the region."
