John Bluford III, president and CEO of Kansas City, Mo.-based Truman Medical Centers has announced plans to retire, effective July 18.
Mr. Bluford has served at Truman Medical Centers since 1999.
He plans to stay in the Kansas City area and continue participating on civic boards, as well as remain actively involved with the Bluford Healthcare Leadership Institute, a professional development program for minority scholars he established in 2013, according to the news release.
