Trios Health swaps out interim CEO amid bankruptcy process: 6 things to know

Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health named Mark Armstrong interim CEO, effective Feb. 1.

Here are six things to know:

1. Mr. Armstrong is a Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources employee, a management services firm Trios Health hired in 2016.

2. Equipped with 23-plus years of healthcare experience, he has served as CEO, COO, CFO and chief restructuring officer at numerous provider organizations.

3. Mr. Armstrong replaces Craig Cudworth, who served as the health system's chief restructuring officer and then interim CEO for the last year.

4. In 2017, the health system filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy so it could restructure debt while continuing operations.

5. Last month, it hired Michael Rolph to serve as interim CFO. Mr. Rolph will guide the health system through the Chapter 9 bankruptcy process.

6. The health system also recently cut three outpatient therapy services.
