TriHealth unveils new regional leaders: 6 things to know

Cincinnati-based TriHealth has named two veteran healthcare executives to oversee regions for Good Samaritan and Bethesda North hospitals, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Here are six things to know about the executives.

Jason Niehaus will lead the Bethesda North Region.

1. Mr. Niehaus most recently served as senior vice president for system hospital operations at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. He also was site administrator for Summa Health System – Barberton (Ohio) Campus and Summa Health Center at Wadsworth (Ohio)-Rittman.

2. Previously, he worked for Cincinnati-based Mercy Health for more than 10 years. His roles included COO of Mercy Hospital Anderson and the now-closed Mercy Hospital Western Hills, both in Cincinnati, according to the report. He also was Akron market operations executive for Mercy Health and president of senior health and housing.

3. Mr. Niehaus earned a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and gerontology from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Rob Cercek will be responsible for the Good Samaritan Region, effective Aug. 22.

4. Mr. Cercek most recently served as president of Rochester (N.Y.) General Hospital, a position he held since April 2015.

5. Previously, he was an executive with Banner Health in Phoenix, Diversified Radiology of Denver and Premier Health Partners in Dayton, Ohio, according to the report.

6. Mr. Cercek earned a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Toledo (Ohio) and a master's degree in health administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.
