Cincinnati-based TriHealth has named David Cook Jr. senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective May 2.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Cook.
1. He will replace Walter McLarty, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
2. Mr. Cook most recently has worked at BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, where he served as vice president of human resources and patient experience for the system's flagship hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Cook also had human resources responsibility for Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur, Mo., a community-based facility affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
3. Prior to that role, he was vice president of human resources for St. Louis Children's Hospital for nearly six years.
4. Mr. Cook also previously served on the BJC HealthCare human resources executive council.
5. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master of Business Administration in human resource management from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.
