Gail Donovan, president of health services and COO of Cincinnati-based TriHealth, is planning to step down.
In a note to employees obtained by Becker's Hospital Review, Mark C. Clement, president and CEO of TriHealth, stated that Ms. Donovan's professional goals included serving as a system CEO.
She has decided that now is the time to begin searching for a system CEO role "as she seeks to better balance her career aspirations with her family responsibilities back home in New Jersey," Mr. Clement's note reads. The timeline for Ms. Donovan's departure is not known.
"While saddened that Gail will eventually be leaving TriHealth, we support this decision and look forward to following the success of her career as she continues to pursue her passion to make healthcare delivery better!" wrote Mr. Clement.
Ms. Donovan has served as TriHealth COO and president of health services since December 2015. She is active in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Hospital Association. She holds a master's in health services administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
