Charleston, S.C.-based Trident Medical Center appointed Scott Weiskittel COO, according to The Post and Courier.

1. Mr. Weiskittel formerly served as COO at Community Health System's Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
2. He holds a master's degree in physical therapy from Widener University's Institute for Physical Therapy Education in Chester, Pa.
3. Trident Medical Center includes 313 beds, a 24-hour emergency room and a level 2 trauma center.
