Brevard, N.C.-based Transylvania Regional Hospital — a subsidiary of Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health — named Michele Pilon president and CNO effective Nov. 14, Times-News reports.
Here are four things to know about the appointment.
1. Ms. Pilon most recently was CNO at 220-bed Memorial Hospital of Martinsville (Va.).
2. Her previous positions include chief nurse executive at Statesville, N.C.-based Davis Regional Medical Center, vice president of patient care services at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C., and assistant CNO at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
3. Ms. Pilon succeeds interim President and CNO Melina Arrowood, who will become TRH's clinical operations manager.
4. She graduated from the University of Akron (Ohio) and the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill.
