The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston named Timothy Harlin executive vice president and CEO of the UTMB Health System.
Five things to know:
1. Mr. Harlin will begin working with current CEO Donna Sollenberger July 15, continuing until her retirement Aug. 31, after which he will take over.
2. He is currently chief operating and acceleration officer at Denver Health and Hospital Authority.
3. Mr. Harlin was previously COO at Hennepin Health System in Minneapolis and CEO at Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke, Ala.
4. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
5. He earned his MBA at Atlanta-based Emory University.
