The Chartis Group expands revenue cycle team: 6 things to know

The Chartis Group, a national healthcare advisory services firm, added two members to its revenue cycle leadership team.

Here are six things to know.

The firm promoted Glenda Owen to principal.

1. Ms. Owen has more than three decades of experience in hospital and physician practice revenue cycle operations, according to a news release.

2. Previously, she was vice president of finance and revenue for Austin, Texas-based Seton Healthcare Family.

3. During her tenure at Seton, Ms. Owen led an inpatient charge capture and reconciliation initiative resulting in more than $60 million in incremental net revenue during a three-year period, the release states.

Todd Bankhead joined Chartis in February as a principal.

4. Mr. Bankhead has spent more than 20 years in the healthcare industry.

5. He previously served as the vice president for corporate revenue cycle at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and was involved in a financial turnaround initiative there, according to the release.

6. Mr. Bankhead also previously was COO for patient financial services and director of operations for the largest public health system in the United Arab Emirates, among other roles.
