The hospital's board of managers voted to not renew his CEO contract when it expires Dec. 31. A successor has not yet been named. Parkland Memorial recently came under fire for committing a string of patient safety violations, endangering its Medicare status.
Parkland Memorial has submitted a corrective action plan, which CMS has accepted, and must fix the violations by Sept. 2 or risk losing Medicare participation status.
