Stewart R. Nelson, will become CFO of Sentara Blue Ridge Division, effective Jan. 5, 2018, according to a report by The Gazette-Virginian.
Here are three notes:
1. Mr. Nelson is currently CFO of Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Va.
2. He will continue in his current role, while taking on CFO responsibilities for Sentara Blue Ridge Division, which includes Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., and Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Va.
3. Mr. Nelson assumed the CFO role at Sentara Halifax in 1989. He helped lead the financial and information systems expansion at the hospital, and he spearheaded several capital projects, including the construction of a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital President Chris Lumsden told The Gazette-Virginian.
