Winter Haven (Fla.) Hospital has named Steve Nierman president, effective Aug. 30, as the hospital finalizes its merger with Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System.
Mr. Nierman replaces Lance Anastasio, who was Winter Haven's president and CEO until he announced his retirement in 2011. Mr. Anastasio has led the hospital for 35 years and has been with the hospital for a total of 44 years.
Mr. Nierman previously was president of 147-bed South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, Fla., which is part of BayCare, for six years.
