Mountain States Health Alliance, based in Johnson City, Tenn., has named Stephen Sawyer CFO of Norton (Va.) Community Hospital, according to a system news release.
Mr. Sawyer has 23 years of experience in healthcare finance, including 11 years as a CFO. Prior to joining Norton Community Hospital, he served as CFO for Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield, N.C. He was also CFO for Newberry (S.C.) County Memorial Hospital and for St. Joseph Healthcare in Bangor, Maine.
In his new role, he will oversee finances for Norton Community Hospital as well as Dickenson Community Hospital in Clintwood, Va., and other system services in neighboring counties.
