St. Louis-based SSM Health tapped Laura Kaiser to serve as president and CEO, effective May 1, 2017.
Here are four takeaways:
1. Ms. Kaiser serves as executive vice president/COO at Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare.
2. Prior to that, she spent 15 years at St. Louis-based Ascension, serving in a number of leadership roles, including president/CEO at Pensacola, Fla.-based Sacred Heart Health System.
3. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds an MBA and master in healthcare administration degree from Saint Louis University.
4. Ms. Kaiser succeeds William P. Thompson, who will retire at the end of April.
