Southwest Georgia Medical Center names CEO/CNO

Southwest Georgia Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Cuthbert that is part of Albany, Ga.-based Phoebe Putney Health System, has a new CEO and CNO: Kim Gilman, RN.

Ms. Gilman is currently CEO and CNO of Phoebe Worth Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Sylvester, Ga., that is also part of Phoebe Putney. She will retain that role as well.

In her newly expanded role, "Kim will now have the opportunity to focus on further collaboration and efficiencies between the two facilities," said Phoebe Putney President and CEO Joel Wernick.

Ms. Gilman started her career at Phoebe as a registered nurse and became CNO of the hospital in 2002. She added the CEO title in 2010.
