Southern Coos Hospital names JoDee Tittle CEO after dismissing interim CEO Jim Wathen in October

The Southern Coos Health District's board of directors named JoDee Tittle CEO of Bandon, Ore.-based Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center, following a period of upheaval with the facility's leadership, according to a Brandon Western World report.

In October, the hospital terminated Jim Wathen as interim CEO. The board members did not give a reason for Mr. Wathen's sudden departure, but they publicly thanked him for his service. The board named Mr. Wathen interim CEO in August, after the hospital dismissed former CEO Charles Johnston. The hospital terminated Mr. Johnston "without cause," according to a previous report.

Ms. Tittle most recently served as interim president of Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health system's Madras (Ore.) and Prineville (Ore.) campuses. Prior to that, she was the director of ancillary and support services for the Madras and Prineville hospitals. She earned her master's degree in business administration from La Grande-based Eastern Oregon University.

Ms. Tittle will assume her new role on Jan. 23, 2017, according to the report.
