Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based SoutheastHEALTH has confirmed that Jim Limbaugh, executive vice president of planning and business development, has left the organization, according to a recent report from the Southeast Missourian.
Mr. Limbaugh joined SoutheastHEALTH in 2009 after serving as the chairman of the hospital's board, before which he had a career in banking. According to the report, the circumstances surrounding his Limbaugh's departure from the system have not been revealed.
This change comes just weeks after Wayne Smith, former CEO of SoutheastHEALTH, retired, which came into effect a few months earlier than planned because of health challenges, according to the report. Other changes in the management division of the hospital have occurred this year, including the simultaneous departure announcements of the CFO, Hugh King, and vice president and CMO, Dennis Means, MD, in April. Hospital board members and human resources have not commented on any employee's departure, according to the report.
