Chicago-based Sinai Health System has appointed Karen Teitelbaum as president and CEO, effective July 1, according to the health system.
Ms. Teitelbaum currently serves as executive vice president and COO of the health system, positions she has held since 2007. Prior, she served as senior vice president of operations and chief business development officer of Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. She also worked as a speech language pathologist and owned a physical rehabilitation agency.
Ms. Teitelbaum is taking over duties for Alan Channing, who in March announced plans to retire.
