Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Ill., tapped Ruth A. Colby to serve as president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Here are five things to know:
1. Ms. Colby is currently senior vice president of business development and chief strategy officer for the hospital.
2. She previously held leadership positions at University of Chicago Medicine and Solucient, now known as Truven Health Analytics.
3. She holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
4. Ms. Colby succeeds Paul Pawlak who is set to retire on Sept. 30.
5. Mr. Pawlak has served at the helm of the hospital for 27 years.
