John Harris, CEO of the Sierra Providence Health Network in El Paso, Texas, has resigned, according to an El Paso Times report.
Mr. Harris is leaving to pursue other prospects in the healthcare industry, according to the report.
Thomas Casaday, the CEO of Sierra Providence for seven years before retiring in 2006, will return to serve as interim CEO.
The hospital plans to hire a CEO with experience in operations and strategy development "in the near future," according to the report.
