Shodair Children's Hospital in Helena, Mont., has named Craig Aasved CEO.
Here are seven things to know about Mr. Aasved.
1. He will begin his new job Dec. 7.
2. He succeeds Jack Casey, who will retire after nearly five decades in healthcare.
3. Mr. Aasved has 30 years of experience in healthcare.
4. Most recently, he was COO and regional chief management services officer for Providence Health and Services' Western Montana Region in Missoula, Mont.
5. He also previously was CEO of North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, Mont., Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton, Mont., and Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyo. All of those hospitals are managed by Quorum Health Resources.
6. In addition, Mr. Aasved was administrator of Aspen Meadows Retirement Community in Billings, Mont.
7. Mr. Aasved earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in business and healthcare administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
