Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Va., tapped Torie Bashay, BSN, RN, to serve as vice president of patient care service and chief nurse executive.

1. Most recently, Ms. Bashay served as a director of patient care services and business development for Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, Va.
2. She has served in multiple healthcare leadership roles, including as practice manager for Children Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, Va.
3. She is actively involved with community projects and has served as a community council member on the Smart Beginnings Virginia Peninsula Awareness Project.
4. Ms. Bashay succeeds Patricia Thomas, MSN, RN, who held the role for 37-plus years.
