Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Health Care System tapped James Fiorica, MD, to serve as CMO.

1. Dr. Fiorica succeeds Steve Taylor, MD, who retired.
2. He has been associate CMO since 2016, when Dr. Taylor announced his plans to retire.
3. Previously, he served as Sarasota Memorial's chief of staff and director of its Women's Cancer Specialty Program.
4. He came to Sarasota Memorial from H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Fla., where he was leader of the gynecology oncology program.
