Paul Lorenz has been appointed CEO of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Calif., effective Nov. 19, according to a Mercury News report.
Mr. Lorenz is currently the chief deputy director of Ventura County Health Care Agency where he oversees a trauma facility, a hospital, the county's public health department and psychiatric unit, according to the report.
The hospital's former CEO, Linda Smith, was released from her duties in June. Trudy Johnson has been serving as the interim CEO.
