Moses Lake, Wash.-based Samaritan Healthcare has appointed Theresa Sullivan president and CEO, according to a Columbia Basin Herald report.
Here are four things to know about Ms. Sullivan.
1. Her appointment becomes official Nov. 12. According to the report, the Samaritan Healthcare Board of Commissioners presented a resolution appointing Ms. Sullivan CEO at a regular board meeting last Thursday. However, the appointment must be accepted at a subsequent meeting.
2. Once the appointment is finalized, Ms. Sullivan will be the superintendent of Grant County Public Hospital District No. 1 and the president and CEO of Samaritan, effective Nov. 14.
3. Ms. Sullivan is the hospital's former COO.
4. She has been acting as interim CEO since Sept. 14, after former Samaritan CEO Tom Thompson resigned. Mr. Thompson accepted a position as CEO of Allina Health in Hastings, Minn.
