Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Saint Joseph Mercy Health System has appointed David T. Brooks president of two Saint Joseph Mercy Health System hospitals: St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor and St. Joseph Mercy Livingston in Howell, Mich.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Brooks.
1. His appointment is effective Aug. 3.
2. Mr. Brooks will succeed Rob Casalou, who served in this position until he was promoted last fall to regional president and CEO of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System.
3. Mr. Brooks comes to Saint Joseph Mercy Health System from Detroit-based St. John Providence Health System, where he served as president of St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and senior vice president of the system's East Region.
4. Prior to joining St. John Providence Health System, Mr. Brooks was CEO of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services' Northwest Washington Service Area.
5. Mr. Brooks has also served in executive roles at Central DuPage Heath in Chicago, CHRISTUS Health in Irving, Texas, Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, N.M., and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
